 La Fondation « Thierno Wollé Ndiaye » a offert à la ville de Ourossogui trois forages modernes de dernière génération, afin d’améliorer la qualité et la distribution d’eau dans cette localité du département de Matam (nord-est), a indiqué son représentant dans la région, El Hadji Abou Ndiaye.

 »Le président de la +Fondation Thierno Wollé Ndiaye+, Abdoulaye Ndiaye, après avoir a été informé des problèmes d’eau dans la région, a décidé d’offrir trois forages à la ville de Ourossogui, qui est souvent confrontée à des problèmes liés à la distribution d’eau’’, a-t-il expliqué, mercredi, au cours d’une visite de terrain.

M. Ndiaye a ajouté que chacun des forages aura une capacité de 50 mètres cubes et fonctionnera de manière automatique. Selon lui, pour leur fonctionnement, les infrastructures ne nécessiteront pas la présence d’un ouvrier, car elles seront équipées de matériels permettant de les mettre en marche.

 »Nous allons réaliser des forages qui vont avoir une capacité de 50 mètres cubes, mais qui peut atteindre le triple. Ils seront de dernière génération et vont permettre aux populations de quantifier l’eau qu’elles utilisent », a fait savoir Ibrahima Anne, le directeur de Magic Forage, en charge de la construction des ces trois infrastructures hydrauliques.

L’ingénieur a déclaré que les forages fonctionneront de façon autonome, soutenant qu’ils  »seront très utiles aux sapeurs pompiers qui pourront remplir rapidement leurs citernes de 14 mètres cubes en maximum sept minutes ».

Créée en 2017, cette fondation a offert au total 22 forages à des populations de la région de Matam, notamment à Orkodiéré, Foumihara Diobé, et à Bonji Walo, dans le département de Kanel. Selon Abou Ndiaye, des écoles et mosquées ont été aussi construites par la Fondation Thierno Wollé Ndiaye mise en place par un fils de la région établi en Zambie.
